So I’ve come to a decision: I’m going Facebook Cold Turkey! OK, going Cold Turkey is difficult, so I’ll still have a look in every day, but only a quick look. ‘I have to become more organized,’ the little voice in my head is saying... And the only way to do that is to encourage you over to my email list, because I've decided that’s where I’m focusing my energy (that and the book, of course). I know that people are busy and that the effort it takes to push that button and type in your name is a HUGE one. (I’m kidding! You’re reading, typing, scrolling right now – Is that taking a lot of effort? I’m guessing NO, it’s not. You’re almost on auto-pilot aren’t you?) But everyone has to have a ‘Carrot’ to take that first step. I get that. I like presents too. Soooo... I have a gift to give you for making that effort and taking that first step to click the link below and subscribe to my newsletter. *drum roll* A never before published (and exclusive only to readers of my blog) short story. It was going to be a full length book, but Re-Runners caught my imagination so much that ‘He’s Mine’ (the title of the story) is now your ‘carrot’. (And no, it’s not a sweet romance). I want to have a relationship with people who want to read my books. They are my audience and are important to me. In the first couple of emails you can expect a few more snippets that no-one else has seen... like a chapter from Re-Runners Third Life... and some insider stuff that I only share with my best buddies. Then after that I’ll try my best to write something snappy and fun and interesting at least once a week, but I've got to tell you now... If I’m deep in book writing mode, I may not surface for a while, but never fear: when the book/s are finished, you’ll be the FIRST to know. So please join my crew and keep me company. I’d love to share this exciting fantasy journey of being in the heads of killers, lovers and (currently) Re-Runners; with you. Let’s get swept along together.... ~Elli

My first review through the "ask David" website. http://askdavid.com/ Much excitement in Elli Camp.
~Elli "5 Stars! Can't wait for the next one. I read book one and two in a weekend and couldn't put them down. It is a great combination of real life drama, mystery and intrigue with a fantasy twist with just a bit of romance thrown in. Fascinating to see what three very different people would do with a second chance. Looking forward to the next instalment." I need help!
I'm trying to decide on a cover for Re-Runners Third Life. K has offered me two options.. following the angled 'hallway of many lives' theme and progressively getting lighter as the characters lift themselves out of the darkness of their First Life. The reason for the hospital corridor idea is because Christian becomes a surgeon in the third book. I also asked for a darkened version of that one as I thought it was toooo bright/light. I'd really appreciate some feedback. Which one? Number 1, 2 or 3.... or do we go back to the drawing board? ~Elli
'Now I'm old I can say anything I damn well please.' - Bette Midler.
Not that I think Bette ever held back in her youth either, but she's right - One of the joys of gaining a few years is the freedom to speak your mind. My mother has proclaimed to the world that she has entered the next phase - 'The Grumpy Old Lady' phase. She's not really grumpy, but when the need arises, she is happy to claim the rights of TGOL and say, 'No, I'm looking after ME today!' Cheers for the loss of always being politically correct and an extra cheer for being selfish (Note to most women:- after a lifetime of being Selfless....'Selfish' is not a dirty word). ~Elli Calling All Writers:
Today I stumbled on a blog by Jeff Goins (100k+ fan base). Most blogs I'll read once then put aside, but he struck a chord... and I think he struck a chord because he was saying the same thing as another Geoff I know and who's blog I ALWAYS read - Geoff Shaw. Tho' Geoff Shaw's 'Kindling' covers everything we need to know about e-Book writing, production and marketing etc.. Geoff is also one of the best people I know to give you a good kick in the pants when you need it... and his basic message has always been: JUST WRITE!... This is where these two GeoJeff's are the same, so I've subscribed to the second Jeff's blog too because I need to keep hearing the message and I need to keep getting that kick in the pants. So if you need a nudge now and then, read below and it might spark you to write a bit more.. it did me. Signed: ~WGP (World's Greatest Procrastinator) PS: If you want to take a look at the other Geoff's Kindle training (he's my Guru :)) have a look here and I'll lead you by the hand. Oh boy, how confusing. I think I have too many GeoJeff's in my life! |
